RISE Zambia provides full financial scholarships to aspiring healthcare professionals in rural Zambia--a country with a critical shortage of healthcare professionals and limited access to higher education. Founded in 2015 in memory of Joan Shulman, a devoted nurse, caregiver and mother, RISE Zambia has already awarded 30 scholarships in nursing and clinical medicine, with plans to add 20 more by 2025.
